Kenneth Shoemake awarded 2010 Mercy Award
April 30, 2010 (Russellville, KY) - Kenneth Shoemake was recently awarded Logan Memorial Hospital's 2010 Mercy Award. This honor places him in contention for LifePoint's 2010 Mercy Award, the highest honor an employee can earn with LifePoint Hospitals, Inc., the parent company of Logan Memorial Hospital.
The Mercy Award was created to honor outstanding individuals for their commitment to LifePoint's high standards of excellence. The Mercy Award is given annually in honor of Scott L. Mercy (1961-2000), founding chief executive officer of LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. This award commends individuals whose daily dedication and care-giving inspires others with their compassion, dedication, and merciful spirit.
Shoemake, a housekeeping aide, has been employed at Logan Memorial Hospital nearly 40 years. "We are extremely proud to recognize Kenneth for his efforts. Kenneth is an individual who leaves an impression on your life, and he cares enough to make a difference in others lives," said Chief Executive Officer William Haugh.
Kenneth Shoemake is married to Barbara and has two daughters: Melissa Ann Poole, age 39 and Sonya Faye Wright, age 38. He is a member of Second Baptist Church
