Logan Memorial Hospital Names 2011 Mercy Award Winner
We all know someone whose life is dedicated to giving to others, someone whose generous spirit makes us say, "That's how I want to live my life." Logan Memorial is proud to announce Joyce Parrish as the 2011 Mercy Award winner.
Joyce Parrish has been with Logan Memorial Hospital 52 years. She is an active member at First Baptist Church in Russellville, has two sons, Terry (age 56) and Clay (age 46) and a loving husband, Billy Ray Parrish.
The Mercy Award remembers Scott Mercy, LifePoint's founding Chairman and CEO, and recognizes one extraordinary employee who best embraces the humanitarian spirit on which LifePoint Hospitals was founded.
"Each year, the Mercy Award allows us to recognize excellence and acknowledge those who inspire and lead others by their example," says LifePoint Hospitals Chairman, President and CEO Bill Carpenter.
Every LifePoint hospital chooses its own Mercy Award winner; the 2011 company-wide winner is then selected from the pool of hospital winners. The companywide winner will be honored in June at a ceremony during LifePoint's Senior Leadership Retreat in San Francisco.
"We work alongside inspirational, selfless people every day who show us how to live LifePoint's High Five," said William Haugh. "Joyce leads by example and goes above and beyond in serving our patients and community."
