Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining LMH, Brash served as vice president and CEO of physician services for Ballad Health in Kingsport, Tennessee, and as president and CEO of Wellmont Medical Associates in Kingsport, Tennessee before that. He also served in several other leadership positions at Wellmont Health System, including as system senior vice president, business development and rural strategy, and also as regional vice president and president, a role in which he oversaw the organization’s Mountain Region business unit.
Earlier in his career, he served in leadership positions at several hospitals, including as CEO of Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital in Harlan, Kentucky; CEO of Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, Virginia; and administrator and CEO of Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
Brash holds a Master of Science Management/Health Care Administration degree from Marshall University in South Charleston, West Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology Community and Technical College in Montgomery, West Virginia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Chief Nursing Officer
Tanya Nelson-Hackney MBA, RN, NHA, NEA-NC, CPPS joins Logan Memorial Hospital after holding several leadership positions at sister LifePoint Health facility, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH), including senior director of nursing & cardiovascular services, interim chief nursing officer and senior director of acute & sub-acute services. She also served as LMH's interim CNO from May thru September of 2019. Prior to her roles at LCRH, Nelson-Hackney served in numerous healthcare leadership roles, including nurse consultant at Signature Consulting Services in West Palm Beach, Florida; director of nursing services at Danville Centre for Health & Rehabilitation in Danville, Kentucky; clinical operations coordinator at Summit Healthcare Services in Knoxville, Tennessee; and director of nursing services at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee; to name a few.
Nelson-Hackney holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky and an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. She is a certified professional in patient safety (CPPS), board certified nurse executive advanced and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
Tangela "Tangie" Rippingille
Chief Financial Officer
Tangela “Tangie” Rippingille joins Logan Memorial Hospital after serving as the Manager of Accounting at Dentaquest in Nashville, TN. She also spent eleven years at LifePoint Health in Brentwood, TN. During her eleven years with LifePoint, she held the positions of Director of Operations & Controller, as well as time as chief financial officer at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Rippingille holds a Master’s Degree of Accountancy from Massey Graduate School of Business, Nashville, TN and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Belmont University, Nashville, TN and is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA).
